Caldwell TravAlert - 10/6/09 - TSA Required Info  E-mail

October 6, 2009

The Transportation Security Administration, in compliance with the Department of Homeland Security, is implementing newly required reservation information from the airlines called Secure Flight.  Secure Flight helps to ensure improved security on flights, and lowers the chance of misidentification between legitimate passengers and those on the TSA watch list.

Information now required by TSA:
*Full name, as it appears on the government-issued photo ID with which you will be traveling
*Date of birth
*Gender

Please know that the Caldwell Travel team is working diligently to gather this important information from our valued customers to ensure a smooth travel experience.  We are continuing the process of updating traveler profiles with the newly required information as well.  For our online booking customers, the data may be easily updated by travelers and travel arrangers directly through their customized online travel site.  Please update at your earliest opportunity.

When traveling, one of the nice perks is earning frequent flyer points with the airlines, to be redeemed for free tickets and such.  The carriers do require that the name on the ticket matches the name on the frequent flyer program.  As a friendly reminder, please check your personal frequent flyer numbers, and update accordingly to ensure miles are tracked.  Please see the following links which may assist you in updating your personal accounts:

Southwest Airlines

Delta Airlines
