Caldwell Travel Welcomes the New Year  E-mail

Caldwell Travel would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your business.  As a full service travel management company, we offer corporate travel management programs, meetings services including hotel contract negotiations, incentive planning as well as leisure travel.  International travel is our forte.

We continue to invest in technologies and team training to offer our valued customers unparalleled, superior services.  Did you realize with a simple click from our Caldwell Travel website, www.travelcaldwell.com,  travelers can enroll in TravAlerts, submit customer feedback surveys, establish flight notifications, purchase travel insurance, track flights, print boarding passes, check weather and maps, as well as view vacation offers?

Caldwell's travel consultants are simply the best in the business.  Our wealth of travel information is drawn from first-hand travel experience.  In the past few months, members of our team have traveled to Turkey, Banff and Lake Louise, ventured on an expedition cruise to Antarctica, and visited numerous Caribbean islands to conduct hotel inspections.  Let us plan your dream vacation!

As your partner in managing corporate travel spend, there may be a few opportunities to consider ensuring that your company is utilizing all means in which to save money...

• Is there a strong travel policy in place?  Would you like Caldwell Travel to review/provide suggestions for improvement?
• Is your company utilizing preferred vendors to reduce costs/improve negotiating power?
• Does your company allow travelers and/or travel arrangers to book on consumer sites?  (When booking reservations via an "unmanaged" online site, such as Expedia, Travelocity, or an airline website, much is sacrificed.  Perhaps most importantly, if a trip doesn't go as planned, who supports the disrupted traveler?  Many of our customers have chosen the "managed online" booking process, via the customized, secured travel site, Rearden Commerce.  When booked using this route, all the value-added services are covered, such as voids, unused ticket tracking etc.)  Furthermore, does your company realize that consumer sites have begun selling customer data on consumers' buying habits gathered through their Internet cookies, enabling advertisers to send highly targeted ads to online consumers when they visit popular websites?  Caldwell Travel's privacy policy is very straightforward: we simply do not provide your data, including email addresses to any 3rd parties for any reason.

Thanks again for your patronage.  We look forward to servicing all your travel-related needs in the future.

Caldwell TravAlert - 7/9/10 - Reminder...TSA Required Information

As a reminder, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration is requiring airlines to collect the following information for all airline passengers:

Full name as it appears on government issued ID
Birth date
Gender
Redress number (where applicable for travelers whose name previously had appeared on the “do not fly” list)

The airlines warn that failure to provide this information at least 72 hours prior to departure could result in inconveniences for travelers, including ineligibility for advance check-in, required ticket counter check-in at the airport, and possible ticket cancellation as of November 1, 2010.

Caldwell Travel has been collecting this data since last fall and entering into secure traveler profiles to ensure a seamless and uninterrupted travel experience for our valued customers.  If we have yet to gather your information, then please understand when we ask for it at time of booking.  Thank you.
