Traffic Patterns/Procedures to Change at BNACell Phone/Waiting Area Reopens on October 22 As the Terminal Access Roadway Improvements Project nears completion at Nashville International Airport, driving patterns will change to improve traffic conditions and provide safer, more convenient access to the terminal and parking. The cell phone/waiting area is set to reopen October 22. Many elements of BNA traffic patterns and parking will remain the same. The terminal building and all parking lots can still be accessed via Donelson Pike and I-40. Patrons should be aware of the following significant changes, and follow traffic signs carefully: - The names of two parking lots have changed. The Long Term lot, adjacent to the Short Term garage, is now Long Term A. The former seasonal Overflow lot, east of Donelson Pike, soon will open permanently as Long Term B. - The entrance point to Long Term A and Short Term has moved, and they now share a common parking ticket dispenser station that, weather permitting, will open October 28. - Short Term parkers will stop at a second parking ticket dispenser at the entrance to the Short Term garage, located 1,300 feet ahead, where they will validate their ticket to enter the garage. - The cell phone/waiting area will reopen October 22 in a new location and more than doubled in size, giving drivers a free place to wait to pick up arriving passengers. See a Map of the area. Travel Tips: From downtown and west of BNA: For easy access to the terminal, valet parking, the Short Term garage and the Long Term A lot, visitors should use I-40 exit 216A. For all other parking, including Economy and Long Term B lots and the cell phone/waiting area, use the I-40 Donelson Pike exit 216B. From east of BNA: Visitors should use the I-40 Donelson Pike exit 216 to access the terminal and all parking.
